Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Carpenter General Builder to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a variety of carpentry tasks, from the construction and installation of bespoke joinery to the repair and maintenance of wooden structures and fittings, helping out with General Building duties when required. This role requires technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work to the highest standards within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood and other materials with precision.
- Install doors, windows, frameworks, furniture, and bespoke joinery as required.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing structures.
- General Building duties to include but not limited to: Insulating, brick/block work, plastering, pointing, screeding.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces to a professional standard.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within a commercial or professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and general building techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications or completion of a recognised apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional environment.
- Full UK driving licence (advantageous).
